Burglars blow-torch grillwork at Linden businessman's house • steal over $500,000, shotgun
Burglars carted off an estimated $1M in cash and articles last Wednesday after using a blowtorch to cut through grillwork at a Linden businessman's home. Fahad Alli, 35, and his wife reportedly awoke at around 04:00hrs to find that someone had broken into their home, located at Fair's Rust, Linden . Missing from the home was $496,000; half an ounce of raw gold; over $103,000 in jewellery; a shotgun and 20 cartridges. According to reports, the men gained entry to the two-storey building by cutting through grillwork at a window in the bottom flat. The couple slept through the entire robbery.
