My India born grand mother, Somwaria, died 11 days after the birth of my father Mohamed Ashin in 1929.
The baby, Jaitoon, shown in the picture on the left, was about 60 years old when she died in Guyana, July 2002,. Her father was Edu.
My father's sister, Rasulan, who was living in Canefield, Canje, Berbice, passed away few years ago after giving birth to a baby girl. That girl, lives with her aunt Rafatan in Vryheid, Berbice, Guyana.
My father's brother, Khairruddin, from Reliance, Canje, Berbice, died a few years ago after being stung by African bees at Rose Hall Estate .
The three surviving first generation are as follows:
My father, Mohamed Ashin, residing in Canada, Haji Nizamuddin is residing in USA and Ratan (sister), residing in Guyana

My mother, Mrs. Mooneran Ashin

My mother was born at Bushlot, West Berbice. Expired on January 28, 2005.
